The Cool Kids’ Table: Episode 20 - Section C
By The Cool Kids | April 24, 2008
Brad, Jake and Sam sit at the cool kids table for an in depth review of the past weekend’s Detroit and Chicago ROH shows. They were all in Detroit live and Sam made it out to the Chicago show, so you get a first hand account. In a weird twist this episode turns into the gayest podcast ever to hit the Internet. Listen on to find out why. Also featured are discussions about the use of chair shots in ROH, the use of outsider talent in ROH and the use of homosexual innuendo in general.

Way to have the gayest podcast ever guys!
Seriously, I enjoyed the podcast tonight. I could not agree with your thoughts on Necro. Personally, I’ve never been a fan of his although my experience with him is limited to ROH and FIP. He just strikes me as being a one-trick pony.
It was cool to hear Sam’s thoughts on Chicago live as we pretty much agreed on a lot of what happened.
Overall, great job and keep up the good work.

Akiyama delivered in 96, but has had his ups and down since then. He could have a great match in ROH, but I don’t know who he would face.
I still would love one more weekend of thunder.

Lacey was Izzy’s girlfriend, and was the catalyst of the Special K split. It was Izzy, Deranged, Cheech and Cloudy with Lacey against Dixie and Angel Dust with Becky (who then got taken out by Lacey with the implant ddt). She only adopted the business suit later on, she was originally dressed as a skank.

Damn, you’re right. I just went back and looked at Lacey’s debut at Scramble Cage Melee and she was indeed a skank.

The best Akiyama matches I’ve seen in the last few years have revolved around him having a grumpy mean streak. Akiyama and his grumpiness dragged Masao Inout to the best match he’ll probably every have. Him and Misawa were total bastards in the Kobashi return tag. He was like that in the Takayama return match. I’ve not seen it yet, but I’ve heard he’s also like that in the 4/1/07 GHC Tag switch to Rikio/Akiyama.
I’m at a loss as to whom in ROH Akiyama could work that match with, except for Go Shiozaki.
